About Sister Warriors
Sharol McGriff's Vision
Sharol is a child of Abba Father, who has a “warrior cry” for women to be healed. The cry of her heart stemmed from going to church week after week and seeing hurting women all around—with no resources to help. A thought occurred to her, "my house... I can invite women to my house!" We can have coffee, tea, and cookies and be a loving friend. Women could simply visit, sing and pray together, no religious control; just real women loving each other with Jesus.
The first woman's group "Streams in the Desert" was in Omak WA. Years later when Sharol moved to Sequim WA the name was changed to Sisters and became a 5013c. The ministry has been blessed by the covering of various pastors and churches over the years and has hosted many gifted teachers. It become a cherished meeting place where women were encouraged and loved unconditionally; a place where they could expect a healing encounter with Jesus.
Vision of Hope
I painted this picture of myself and titled it "Healed Without Scars" The painting was intended to represent my inner self! I painted myself as a living person on top with another "me" below. The top was "me" as an Indian (my heritage) looking into heaven (where my life comes from) with awe on my face. On the bottom, I depicted myself underwater with tears in my eyes. The blanket covering the water represents the blood of Jesus covering my past. The stripes on the blanket represent the stripes and agony Jesus took for me on the cross, no longer mine to carry. Jesus has been faithful to walk me through the process of healing childhood trauma. I can testify that when Jesus heals, there is no more pain. There may be a memory but without pain.
There is hope for healing with Jesus.
